Rangaraj Subbaiah (born 3 October 1954), known by his stage name Sathyaraj. Sathyaraj has acted in over 150 films. His films range from action to drama to comedy. Sathyaraj is a great fan of M.G.R. When he came into the cinema he played negative roles and then he played minor roles later on he became the main actor in his films.
Apart from his film career, Sathyaraj is known for being vociferous in the media about various issues, such as water rights in Tamil Nadu and Sri Lankan Tamil nationalism. In 2011, he had a brief career as a television host for the game show Home Sweet Home on STAR Vijay.He married Maheswari and they have a daughter and a son. His son Sibiraj is also an actor.
