Tamil Movie Dharmam Enge Year 1972 Starring Sivaji Ganesan, Jayalalithaa, M. N. Nambiar, R. Muthuraman Directed by A. C. Tirulokchandar Produced by Perianna Written by A. C. Tirulokchandar The representative of the village, (M.N. Nambiar) known as Rajapradhinidhi, rules the village in a dictatorial manner. His men loot the villagers, and molest the village belles. The truthful and courageous Shekar(Sivaji Ganesan), questions the head and it results in him being imprisoned and tortured. Shekar defeats the head, with the help of a gypsy gang, and the villagers elect him the ruler.
He tries to establish a democratic rule, but alas, fate seems to have other plans for him. His sister's husband (Bhupathi Muthuraman), joins the enemy camp, for the trivial reason that he was not given any post by Shekar. Will Bhupathi succeed in usurping Shekar?
