“I thought I will spend my entire life in the boxing ring” - Ritika Singh: Ritika Singh has mentioned that she thought that she will spend her entire life in the boxing ring and because of Sudha Kongara she has been changed into a Tamil girl.

The actress shot to overnight fame with her debut film Irudhi Suttru, which won her National awards. 

She while speaking said, “I thought that I will spend my entire life in the boxing ring. But God sent an angel called Sudha Kongara, director of Irudhi Suttru to me.

She changed my life. Now I have changed myself to a Tamil girl. Because of this I learnt Tamil and speaking to others in Tamil to some extent.

Now I am able to understand Tamil thoroughly. As of now I am not able to speak Tamil fluently but very soon I will speak Tamil with ease. I am greatly attracted towards Tamil culture.

I am seeing lots of old Tamil films. I am surprised when I see girls wearing half sari in the villages.

Though I will not be able to live like them, I want to act wearing half sari in the films. I love Tamil and Tamil Nadu to that extent. The film Irudhi Suttru took me to the extent of National Award. Hence I am very careful in selecting stories.”
