Vridhachalam to hit the screens on 7th April: P Senthil Murugan is a producing a film titled Vridhachalam under the banner Lakshmi Ammal Films.

New face Viruthagiri is debuting in the lead role. He was honoured by the then President of India Pratibha Patil when he was village president of Kachirayanatham in Cuddalore District.

Swetha, Sameera and Sherin are the heroines of the film. Sampath Ram, Baavala Lakshmanan, Kadhal Saravanan, Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu Janaki, Madhu Baana Kadai Ravi, Nellai Shiva, R N R Manohar, Sudha, Elango, Abhishek, Nirupama and director Narayanamurty are also starring in the film.

Shiva Nesan and Uma Shankar are handling the camera while Sriram has composed the music for the lyrics penned by Ilayakamban.

V T Vijayan is in charge of editing while Satish is taking care of choreography.
Raathan Ganapathy who has penned the story, screenplay and dialogues has also directed the film.

Raathan Ganapathy while speaking about the film said, “Due to circumstances, Virudhagiri in his young age commits a crime and is sent to jail for 14 years. When he is released, he loses his youthfulness, mother and lover.

But he never lost his virtuous life. The story of the film reveals what award he gets for his virtuous life. The film which has the backdrop of a village is being releasing on 7th April.”
